Arianne Belt, CADC-R, CGAC-R, CRM-II is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD & PGS programs. She is completing her addictions coursework while working at the agency. She provides supervised intakes, assessments, clinical reviews and group sessions. She provides case management and peer services to clients.

Carlos Vazquez

Carlos Vazquez, CADC-II, QMHA-II, CGAC-II, CRM, CGRM  is a Lead Counselor of the IOP Program & Mentor in our  SUD & PGS programs. He brings years of experience providing culturally specific services to the Latino community. Carlos provides services in English and Spanish.

“I began my A&D career in 2015 working in a culturally specific dual-diagnosis LatinX program. As a second-generation Latino with lived experience with SUD, I am passionate about supporting Spanish-speaking individuals navigating addiction, the court system, and recovery. I strive to provide compassionate, culturally responsive treatment that recognizes the importance of community and identity in the healing process. Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors, photography, and volunteering with nonprofit organizations.”

 

Carmen Ortiz

Carmen Ortiz, CADC-I, CRM-II, PWS, THW is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD program. Joining the agency as a student counselor, she completed her addictions coursework and CADC certification while working at the agency. She does intakes, assessments, clinical reviews and group sessions. She provides case management and peer services to clients. Carmen provides services in English and Spanish.

“I began my career as a family facilitator and educator in 1999 and earned a master’s degree in Leadership in 2021. With a strong understanding of Latin culture, I support families in their recovery journeys by connecting them with community resources and helping strengthen healthy relationships. Serving my community with compassion and excellence is more than a profession—it is a calling. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and volunteering in my community.”

 

Corey Benjamin

Corey Benjamin, CADC-R, QMHA-R, CRM is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD program. He is completing his addictions coursework while working at the agency. He assists counselors with intakes, assessments, clinical reviews and group sessions. He provides case management and peer services to clients.

“My journey has provided me with the opportunity to travel the world, fostering my growth as a team player with empathy and passion for helping others to overcome addiction. I am dedicated to assisting individuals in achieving goals they never imagined possible. When I am not uplifting others, I enjoy exploring nature through fishing, golfing, watching basketball games, discovering new cuisines, and spending quality time with family.”

 

Karina Gonzalez-Navarrte

Karina Gonzalez-Navarrte, CADC-I, CRM-II, CGAC-R is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD & PGS programs. “My journey has fueled a strong passion for helping others overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in my community and continuously expanding my knowledge in the field. I cherish spending quality time with my teen boys exploring new places and cooking for them. ”

 

Laura Vences Mendoza

Laura Vences Mendoza, CADC-I, CRM, PWS, THW is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD program. She does intakes, assessments, clinical reviews and group sessions. She provides case management and peer services to clients. Laura provides services in English and Spanish.

“I am a Mexican immigrant woman in long-term recovery, meaning I live free from substances that alter my thinking or behavior. During my recovery, I recognized the lack of culturally responsive, Spanish-language services and trained professionals in the field. Motivated to help, I pursued college through a scholarship to become a counselor and received certification as an interpreter and mentor. Today, I proudly support my community through programs that honor language, culture, and tradition.”

 

Martha Perez

Martha Perez, CADC-I, CRM, PWS, THW is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD program. Joining the agency as a student counselor, she completed her addictions coursework and CADC certification while working at the agency. She does intakes, assessments, clinical reviews and group sessions. She provides case management and peer services to clients. Martha provides services in English and Spanish.

“I’m originally from Mexico and a first generation immigrant. The impact of language, the new culture and above all the barriers to obtaining cultural specific mental health and substance use treatment impacted my life and my family. I began to study and support other’s access to treatment & recovery services. I believe that recovery is possible – what effects you effects every one.”

 

Ruth Parra Santana

Ruth Parra Santana, CADC-I, CGAC-R, CRM, PWS, THW is a Counselor & Mentor in our SUD & PGS programs. Joining the agency as a student counselor, she completed her CADC certification and is working to complete her CGAC certification. She does intakes, assessments, clinical reviews and group sessions. She provides case management and peer services to clients. Ruth provides services in English and Spanish.

“For over 20 years, I have worked with the Latino community as an educator and facilitated parenting and marriage classes. That helped me recognize the needs of people struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues. As a counselor, I want to support people in recovery and wellness. At the same time to achieve goals and objectives in their lives. I like spending time with my family and friends. Walk, bike, and explore the nature in our beautiful state.”
